“I told him to be kinder to her” – her? We were talking about Loki (who, granted, transcends gender, but is being presenting as more-or-less male in this telling) and Sigyn’s sons… who’s ‘her’? Is this Loki masquerading as Sigyn or something?
I still think Coal has a chance to change things, because he’s not seen as a factor by more powerful forces and thus they don’t expect him to change things. If he ran right now,he’d know he’d break the hearts of those he’d care about, but they’d be alive to have their hearts broken.
Maybe Freyja? Loki accused her of promiscuous behavior with all the gods, including her brother. This was almost certainly true, but would not have made her a fan.
From the extant sources I’ve read, I’d highly disagree with “almost certainly true”. Aside from these not being real people with factual lives, it’s pretty much only an accusation in Lokasenna, which requires you to take Loki’s drunken accusations that every woman there sleeps around and that Loki has personally slept with every man’s wife at face value and not as insults (to me they read like when someone now will say they slept with someone’s mum as an insult)
Heck, according to the Gylfaginning, Freya is so dedicated to her husband Odr that she weeps when he is away and frequently goes in disguise around the world to search for him. Which wouldn’t mean she couldn’t also be having a lot of sex, but contextually isn’t really supporting the same characterisation.

“…you didn’t used to glow, for one”
But useful in those dim halls.

I’m pretty sure she’s talking about Angrboda.
ooooo I think you’re right

I am very curious who “her” is too. Frigg, whose son Loki will cause the death of? Hel, who is kind of abandoned in Niflheim?
Sif, with the whole cutting off her hair thing?

Her? Who is her?
And is the he Loki?
Well, I suppose we’ll find out sooner or later.
