My take is that the swirly thingy on the one on the left evokes something ongoing like a thought process, and the concentric thingies on the one on the right evokes something static like store memories
A visit from kindly old Uncle Odin to refresh Coal’s motivation for a certain quest, and to suggest that he stop fooling around with the local ladies. Well, we were warned at chapter’s end — if you’re too happy today, you’ll pay for it tomorrow.
I am curious if Saoirse can see these two, if they can speak, and if anyone but Coal can understand them if they do.
(My first exposure to Norse myths was in the Danish Valhalla comics, and Huginn and Muninn in those could speak and give cryptic advice to Thjalfi or other characters, so I always associate them with that role)
