*sigh* *pinches bridge of nose*
He started well, but then said he wanted to be dead, forgetting the fact he has another wife and daughters. He does have a right to his pain, but that doesn’t mean he gets to forget everyone else.
It’s really reminding me of the meme that goes,
“Quit calling me out for toxic behavior. I have trauma”
“Quit using your trauma as an excuse to traumatize others”
Fact he’s still around means he hasn’t. It does no good to hide the full depths of things in this kind of talk.
As for his traumas and responses to the others, you have to realize that when it is perfectly reasonable to expect some folks to sail to your village and burn it to the ground, a bit of xenophobia and terseness is a healthy response.
Amazing efficiency — two people sit on a bench, exchange a hundred words or so, and we learn a lot about both of them. Some webcomics I follow would reveal less in a month of episodes — with dragons.

Aw thanks! But worry not, Hedda’s not going anywhere.
