It’s a shame he can’t seem to offer any nice words for his oldest child.
He’s not as good as communicating as he should be.
I suspect the other reason she came there was the hope that she would be welcomed. I don’t know if she would actually say that to him, though, as it would come across as a rebuke (a valid and well-deserved rebuke, to be sure).
Yeah she just wanted to feel wanted, even if she didn’t intend to stay.
