Caskett is what we first see coal in.
Mistletoe represents either peace or love.
And thistle well, there you go.
Organize them into the title and you get: thistle (this) mistletoe (later) and casket (much later) meaning the title starts here, and ends in death.
Mistletoe might represent peace and love to us today but it had a much more sinister meaning in Norse Mythology since it was the only plant that could harm the god Baldur. Loki found out about this a made a dart from a branch of mistletoe and gave it to Hodur, who was blind. Hodur threw it at his brother and killed him. So as you can see it was a tool of death instead of a branch of peace
When I saw the green I was kinda hoping it would be a dress or something he was going to give to Hedda–something better than the patchy rags she has now. Buuut I guess not.
Ooooh, wonder what’s in the box?? O: Can’t wait for more~ 😀
Hehe, thank you! 😀
Hmmmm, indeed. So this is the “kistel”. I assume it belonged to Coals mom, right? So what’s in the kistel? A pistol?
Oh, you.
Oh, oh, oh, I know, it’s Bob right? The title of the comic is totally Bob….right? 😛
No but it should be!
Can’t wait to see what’s in the box 🙂
Hahaha.
Thistil Mistil Kistil
Thistle Mistletoe Casket
I could take a guess as to where the mistletoe comes in
Yes it would be a very good guess and also accurate probably.

So we have the kistil and I think the mistil refers to the whole Balder incident with Loki… so that only leaves thistil…
I LOVE the art of this comic. So pretty.
Thank you so much! I’m glad you like it. 😀

Chapter isn’t over yet! He wasn’t looking for that box, he just came upon it on accident. Someone does get some new clothes in this chapter! 😀
Someone…
It’s Loki isn’t it.
Loki gets new clothes.
No, Silly, ROLLO will get new clothes!
Looks like a reliquary to me.
*slow brow raise*
I love this page so much! 😀
Thank you! 😀
Heda’s of course; cross on it.
There is a cross! But it’s not Hedda’s. :3
I bet it’s his mom’s ashes!
I can tell you right now that it’s not. His mother wasn’t cremated, and Loki mentioned the burial chamber was left in the mound. :3
And here I thought the title was just invented so I couldn’t wrap my tongue around it. 😉
