Not gonna lie, after falling off a cliff and having this guy suddenly appear after me I’d be seriously freaked out. XD And best of luck with NaNo, I always find the first few days to be the hardest ones.
Haha, Hedda’s in a bit of shock, I’m sure. And thanks! 😀 So far I’m managing to keep up, so let’s hope that sticks! Also, don’t worry about the double-posting, all new commenters are manually approved first so I know they’re no spam. :3
I was wondering if that was the case but thought I’d try again just in case, I’ve had some websites where the commenting doesn’t always work the first try. Thanks for clearing that up!
Well actually, her spread-armed posture coupled with her evening gown could have slowed her descent, whereas Coal’s head-down descent would cut into the wind-resistance allowing him to reach terminal velocity much sooner.
Honstly I’d be sure I was hallucinating after drinking that ‘brew’ she got. Also I’m really wondering how she is going to survive this, Coal already dead.
All my friends are in that writting program, they tried to get me to sign up but I already have a story I’m working on. Theres always next year…
I actually use NaNo to force me to finish/work on stories I’ve already started. Technically it’s “cheating” not to start from scratch, I think, but the main thing is the effort and just getting it done. NaNo helps me do that. 😀 I hope next year you join in! It’s fun.
My NaNo this year is intended to add another 50k to (and hopefully finally actually finish) my NaNo from last year and the year before. I won both years, comfortably in 2009, and by a last-minute rush where I wrote 30,000+ words in the last four days, including 13,000 on the 30th last year. The latter has had the side effect that I’m having trouble getting even vaguely concerned about still being under 9,000 on the 17th this year.
And, yeah, it’s technically cheating, but I don’t see a real problem with it, as long as you don’t count words written before November. And I need another 50,000-word partial novel like I need a hole in my head. (50k really isn’t much of a novel; more a fat novella.)
I’m doing Nanowrimo too! Although this year I think I’m going to rebel and write in my journal/ blog every day in an attempt to get into the habit. ( I was thinking about doing a take on snow white and seven dwarves though)
oooOOOooo…she is out of it! why else would you grab the hand of an obviously crazy stranger just ’cause they told you to. lol! well, i guess there is the whole squishy part at the end of the ride thing to avoid.
it is generaly a good idea to avoid obviously crazy people. but, you have a point. can’t see how things could get worse, and it’s always good to have a friend at the end. 🙂
Well, these are the situations you get into after drinking strange things given to you by strange people. I hope you both learn your lesson.
P.S. I totally just had a schoolgirl squeel after seeing this. EEP!!! I just love Coal!!!!
I found this comic through TWC, and I absolutely adore it (Vikings + good art!)
Nonetheless, I’m an aspiring comic artist, and I’ve been thinking of doing a little comic about viking too. TMK definitely made me want to at least try!
Thanks C:
Oh cool! I’m glad you’re enjoying it, thank you! There certainly is a lot of inspiration in the Viking culture to be found. Good luck with your comic! 😀

Ok, first part of the plan taken care of…but how do you intend to get back up there, Coal?
He can fly, he can fly, he can fly!
He was able to get to her despite their both falling — the laws of physics mean nothing to him, clearly.
Yep. :3

HMMMM.
Oh cool, I’m doing NaNo too. 🙂 Great fun so far – then again it’s only day two, haha. Good luck!
Haha, thanks! Yeah it’s still early, but I’ve managed to do it the past three years, so we’ll see!
Give me your hand! Now gravity give me your hand…………….crap
Darn gravity. D:

So how’s your NaNo going?

your character looks like a sweetie pie!
Haha, thanks, and good luck! 😀

Well why NOT grab their hand? It probably can’t get any worse by doing so. XD

I believe his funky dentition has hypnotized her.
For Coal’s next trick, he will hypnotize the brothers into giving him all their money and clothes.
I felt the need to comment and tell you that this is fabulous! I can’t wait to see where the story goes! Great characters!
Thank you so much! 😀 I’m glad you’re enjoying it!
I admire you I’m still thinking about writing a novel but can’t imagine I could write it in month. Good luck!
Yeah, it can be tough, and most likely whatever you come out with will need serious editing, but still, it’s something finished. 😀

Hahah! And they’re underage too! Silly kids.
Hedda- “Wow! Now I know I’m totally tripping!”
…so Coal, you’ve got her. Now what?
Hahaha! Good question.
Hey there, jsut wanted to say I’m loving the comic so far, thanks for regular updates! And also good luck with Nanowrimo!
Thank you so much! 😀 I’m glad you enjoy it. X3
