Thank you! Having a donation button wouldn’t mean I can spend more time on the comic, however, since I doubt people will donate what I make as my salary now. XD But I do hope someday I’ll have more time for it.
Ohhh, update, i like thursdays and to see new updates :), Actually if you havent mentioned snow i would thought that its moonlight 😀 cause the last panel snows a nice moon. Now, hm, i dont know, i was influanced by the snow sugestion.
Oh and i like the colours you use in the comic, so colourful, and in general i think its the way you draw that atracted me to follow the story.
I’ll comment next time you update this page, ciao.
Darn, I shouldn’t have said anything! Haha. I might leave it as it is since it doesn’t seem to come off as snow immediately like I feared. And thank you very much! I’m glad you like the comic.
you can fiddle all you want, but it looks cool to me. 😉 why do i get the feeling coal is about to get hopelessly lost. he done wandered off the farm.
Thanks! Yeah I might just leave it for now and see how I feel in a few weeks/months. Coal is definitely not in Kansas anymore (well he never was to start but you get the idea).
I think if you’re trying to get a moonlit effect rather than snow, maybe try harder edged highlights or gradients, rather than the grainy textured effect you use here, that might help. The actual placement of the lighting is lovely, I think it’s mostly just the texture creating the snow effect.
Anyways, enjoying this story quite a bit, your designs of the classic norse figures are quite fun. Looking forward to more!
Yeah I think that’s exactly the problem. It might even be more about adding shadows than adding highlights. I’ll play around a bit with next week’s page. Thank you for reading! 😀
Your comic is awesome! I wish you had a donation button so you could spend more time on the comic 😛

well, donation button would be a beginning. 😀
I love the top middle panel, the sky looks pretty neat. Also very interested in finding out what’s going on in Coal’s head, he looks so sad ._.
Thank you! Yes, he is a bit melancholy right now, but it won’t last long.

I didn’t read it as snow, either. However, experimenting can’t be bad.
Looks like you shoulda invested in better arch support when you we’re alive…Coal. You’re flat footed.
Flat feet, crooked teeth, weird hair…Coal just can’t catch a break looks-wise!
You can only suit yourself, but I quite like the moonlit trees. But why does the forest change so radically? Is Coal wandering into magic?
LazyReader: no Good Feet stores in medieval Norway. No braces, either. =)
You shall see where Coal wanders verrrry soon. :3 Thank you!

Panel looks good /o/
And I quite like the cover design for the second.
Thanks very much! 😀

Not in Kansas; he can try the ruby shoes with arch support and fashion.

The moonlight looks great, this page is soaked in atmosphere 😀
Thank you! Definitely what I wanted. :3
